On May 2nd, Yin Chengwu, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, met with Hon. Mr. Abraham Dillon, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of Senate of Liberia. The two sides exchanged views on China-Liberia relations.

Ambassador Yin congratulated Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Dillon on taking office. Yin introduced the current China-Liberian relations and appreciated the Liberian side’s adherence to the One-China principle. Yin also said he looked forward to strengthening exchanges between the legislatures of the two countries and making joint efforts to promote practical cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

Hon. Dillon thanked China for its long-term support for Liberia’s development and said China is a good friend of Liberia. He also said Liberia is willing to vigorously develop its relations with China, strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including legislation, and will continue to unswervingly adhere to the One-China principle in the future.
